We got the keys to our first home on the 23rd July 2008. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it even though it needed some serious updating.One family had lived in it since it was built in 1938 and not a lot had happened to it in this time.
Unfortunately I have only just thought to write a blog (23rd Jan 2009) after reading 'First-time house renovation' by BB1984 on Money Saving Expert. Thanks for a great idea by the way!
I will do my best to remember how we have got to where we are now!
It is a 3 bed semi, part double glazed, huge garden, original lead piping, very dodgy electrics, single brick outside toilet and pantry and asbestos garage. It possibly had the smallest kitchen I have ever seen.
